Summer activities
Immediate environs
Janatův mlýn is located near Chata Buřany; you can visit it with the listed tours or arrange your own. For a shorter walk, you can go to Františkov, where at the very end you will find the picturesque pub U Hásků. On the way to find something good to eat and drink, you will come across the Starý Kravín museum, where you will find various objects to see.
The immediate vicinity of Chata Buřany also offers many activities. You can walk to Rokytnice nad Jizerou via the adjacent hiking trail, get on a cable car to Horní Domky and connect to extensive hiking trails here. Using the bike park or rope park with ZIP LINE is also possible.
You can also walk to Dvoračky, Vrbatovo návrší, the Elbe spring, the Mumlav waterfall, and many other exciting places via tourist routes. Thanks to the abundance of options, even a week’s stay will seem short.

Jánské lázně
Not far from Janské lázně, a 40-minute drive from Chata Buřany, is the famous Treetop Trail, which offers you a view of Krkonoše from a different perspective.
Čertova hora
It is a prominent hill located south of Harrachov. On the north-eastern slopes lies an extensive ski area Rýžoviště, on the northern slopes of the Harrachov ski jump.
Harrachov
Even in Harrachov itself, there are many activities, among the most popular are the Money Park and the bobsleigh track. It can be reached by car in 20 minutes from the cottage.
Baldův svět
Bald’s world is a place where not only children, but also their parents get knocked out. There are many activities with water features here. You can also visit the adjacent bobsleigh track.
Sněžka
Pec pod Sněžkou is approximately one hour away by car from Chata Buřany. From here, you can climb the highest mountain in the Czech Republic. If you would like to plan a day trip to one of the most famous places in the Krkonoše Mountains, Sněžka is the right place for you.
Labe spring
The Elbe is one of the most important rivers in the Czech Republic; luckily, its source is located near Chata Buřany. After a 20-minute drive to the Jilemnice hiking trail, you’ll be able to explore the beautiful Krkonoše mountains, eat at Labská Bouda and find out where our second longest river originates.
Winter activities
Skiing
Every lover of skiing or snowboarding will surely appreciate that there are several ski resorts in the vicinity of Chata Buřany. The nearest one is only 2.5 km away, located in Jablonec nad Jizerou is the Kamenec ski resort. The largest resort is the ski resort Rokytnice nad Jizerou, which is a 10-minute drive from the cottage. A smaller center suitable for learning the little ones is the Modrá Hvězda ski resort in Rokytnice nad Jizerou. Ski area Paseky nad Jizerou is 15 minutes away by car from the cottage.

Cross-country skiing
If you prefer cross-country skiing instead of downhill, then the Krkonošská Magistrála area is the perfect place for you. In winter, there are more than 70 km of cross-country trails, followed by approximately 500 km of local ski trails and circuits.
Bad weather?
Indoor pool Jilemnice
Just a 20-minute drive from Chata Buřany, you can visit an indoor swimming pool in Jilemnice, which, in addition to the pool itself, also offers a sauna, an infrared cabin, a steam cabin, a children’s pool, massage jets, and a Knejp walkway.
Bozkov caves
You can hide in a cave if you don’t feel like walking in the rain. Bozkov caves are about 20 minutes away by car from Chata Buřany and are definitely worth a visit, even if it’s not raining.
Mamutek fun park
Need to entertain the kids in the rain? Then it’s right here, in the recently opened Mamutek fun park restaurant and game room in Harrachov, where children can have fun and adults can relax.
